PAST EVENTS

Please join us for an informative lunchtime session with Brooke Smith, freelance UX Consultant who helps turn frustrating digital experiences into ones people actually want to use.

Please join us for an art opening; reverb explores how emptiness and repetition create the vacuum of space that a path forward can be borne from. a collection of monoprints, monotypes, watercolor series, and ceramic pieces, reverb showcases the progression of new concepts from initial spark to final works. Christine Hamann is an Oakland-based artist with deep belief that the focus on the process creates the inspiration.

Please join us for a provocative Q&A with member Nancy Rielle, Urban Intergenerational Cohousing+ Catalyst. Nancy will share about her Urban Intergenerational Cohousing Walkabout (17 months on the road visiting/researching 64 urban intergen communities nationwide) and how pain points/best practices discovered along the way are informing her community-building work now. (Spoiler alert: the Walkabout turned out to be equal parts professional inquiry AND a magical hero’s journey of midlife reinvention. So, she’ll be talking about that, too!)

What better way to end the workday than by engaging in a fun and stress-relieving improv workshop? Workshop participants will experience each other as generous scene partners while doing large and small group improv exercises led by Cliff Mayotte, an award-winning theatre artist and arts educator. Learn more about Cliff and his passion for storytelling here.
